Look what I made

I love J.Crew. I love their style. I love their clothes.
My budget does not love their prices, so I either shop the outlet or use what I have in my closet to mimic the looks in their catalog. I love their catalog. Talk about inspiration.

So - I've been loving the heart sweater that you can see right here.

And I knew I had this sweater sitting in my drawer that I hadn't worn in a couple of years.
It's cashmere, so I haven't been able to part with it, but I haven't been wearing it either.

 It's actually a nice, buttery yellow. T-shirt fit.

 Then I took some black knit fabric.

 And here's what my handy little sewing machine helped me make.

I'm in love. I wish I had a navy sweater to do as well because I have some great teal fabric that would be fun. And I also wish I had a cute red sweater so I could do a pink heart for Valentine's Day. I'm still pretty happy just having this one, though.
