I love days like this

When I didn't really plan ahead too much, but I had a tiny idea of something that might work - and I started putting pieces on and it all worked. Or at least to me, it worked. I felt good in it all day. It was comfortable and yet professional. It was cute, funky even, and yet modest. And it was warm.

Navy wool sweater: Gap (last year)
White long sleeve tee: Dillards (last year)
Skirt worn as a dress: I made it. And you can too! Super simple.*
Navy tights: Target
Brown boots: Antonio Melani (Dillards)
Brown belt: no idea (from my mom's closet way back)

*Please ignore the fact that I did not match the seams on the skirt. It was one of the first skirts I made. And I LOVE the fabric, but super hard to line up. I'm not a sewing pro. I don't even really consider myself a sewer - I just fumble around with my machine and make it work.
