I love this man...

This man...this man...this man.

In just two short months we celebrate our 12 year anniversary. And anyone who is married or has been married knows that is no small feat.

We have had our triumphs and trials. And the Lord has blessed us with three beautiful miracles.

So, for no other reason today than I am just grateful for this man,  here are just a few reasons why I love him.

1. He loves God. 
2. He loves me.  And I hear it in his voice. I see it in his eyes. 
3. He loves our children...and I am so grateful for the love he has for them. His firmness in dealing with them when necessary. His gentleness with them when I am tired and have nothing left to give at the end of the day.

4. He learns from his mistakes.

5. He helps me to see my gifts and abilities. 

6. He knows how to say he's sorry when necessary, and he does it.

7. He is the absolute best griller in the whole world...in my humble opinion. Love that mustard barbecue chicken. 

8. He is concerned with mine and the kids safety.

9. He used to sit up with Isabel night after night giving breathing treatments when she needed them. 

10. He taught me how to walk in faith...when I used to walk in fear. 

11. He makes me laugh...even with his dry, sarcastic sense of humor.

12. He makes me relax...I tend to be wound a little too tight.

13. He puts me and the kids first.

14. He takes me on dates.

15. He is honest.

16. He is a man of integrity.

17. He is trustworthy and dependable.

18. He seeks to honor God with his life.

19. He works so incredibly hard so that I can be home with our kids and homeschool them.

20. He is one of the most kind and generous people I have ever known. 

Though I never would have imagined our lives would intertwine all those years back in high school, it is an incredible blessing to me that God chose him for me.
