I'm sure you will find yourself wildly excited about what you will learn...or perhaps not. I'm not terribly exciting, but I'll do my best to keep you entertained.
1. I lived in a funeral home all four years of high school. And truthfully, I was probably one of the most awful teenagers during that time. Angry, bitter and ungrateful...living in a funeral home doesn't make you the coolest person in the world. It makes you odd...or so I believed when I was trying to survive high school. To my parents: I am so very sorry. I've told you before, I am so grateful for all you did for me, and I am so sorry for the way I acted. (Side note: My parents owned and ran the funeral home and felt the need to be in the building 24/7. I admire their commitment and dedication.)
2. I love coffee in the morning. It's a process I enjoy. The smell. The hot beverage in my cup. And I love my flavored creamer. I just discovered So Delicious coconut milk creamer. Love, love, love. And no high-fructose corn syrup.
3. I love chocolate and peanut butter. Together or separate. I love them both.
4. I love shoes. My 7 year-old left the house last night to spend the night with my parents. She had on silver cowboy booties, and she carried a pair of silver, sparkly Ugg-style boots and a pair of Converse in her hands. Her need for three pair of shoes is a direct reflection of my influence on her. I love shoes.
5. I love my husband and our three kids. They bless me in every way possible. They are the light in my day. They are the joy in my life. I have the privilege of homeschooling our kids - thank you God for providing, and thank you husband for working so hard - and there is no place I'd rather be than with our kids. I love being with them and teaching them. And I love my awesome husband.
(She's really not hurting Superman. She's just found a resting spot for her hand.)
