Today...I got dressed...

You'll all be pleased.

Yes, it's true. I've been dressing all summer. Mostly in shorts and workout tanks. I know, I know. It's terrible.

I think it's indicative of the mood I've been in...and the season of life I've recently entered.

Partially it reflects the season of fun and adventure with my kids. But they would probably tell you that I haven't been terribly adventurous. And they would certainly tell you I need to work on having more fun.

And then partially it reflects the funk...the funk I've been walking through since May or perhaps even longer.

If I could be completely transparent, you probably wouldn't want to read a word of what I wrote. But funk is the best way I can describe it.

So today I got dressed. In my Kut From the Kloth boyfriend jeans and my favorite white tank from H&M. I wore my hair in a messy bun, slipped into my favorite flip flops and headed out to an indoor trampoline place with the kids.

And they had fun. Loads of it. For two whole hours. And I got to visit with one of my dearest friends. And I needed it.

So, today was a victory. I got dressed...in real clothes. Yea!
