One shirt, two ways to wear it

This shirt is almost in the out pile...trying to make it work. Thoughts? I know black and white are big this season. Lets be honest though. Black is always big. Always. Every season. And white, always big for spring and summer. Really white is also pretty year-round.

So honestly, fashion people who set trends, you weren't very creative with this one. Kind of seems like you're stoking the fire a bit because you can't think of something else? Maybe?

In one look I put it with a purple jacket by Kut. It has ruffles. Need I say more?

In the second look I put it with an olive green utility jacket and scarf. Inspiration for that came from Because Shanna Said So.

What I Wore: Date Night

It might seem like we have lots of date nights. Truth is, lately we do. I love it! So blessed.

This night we were headed to a hockey game.

And I was finishing up my Le Croix coconut water before leaving.

Window shopping

So right now I have the itch to shop. And here are just a few things I would love to add to my closet.

I started this year (August-ish) by turning all my hangers backward to see what I wear and don't wear.

I counted about 30 pieces today that need to make their way out of my closet. I don't necessarily need to add anything in their place. I'm trying to really narrow down my wardrobe to the things I wear consistently. 

There are three items on here that if I could, I would go out and buy...today.

The rest, I would love to have. But, you know, you have to prioritize your wants...and just so we're clear...I am incredibly blessed. I could live a long time without buying a single thing. These are just fun things I'd enjoy having...

That camo bag and those shoes are calling my name...can you hear it?

From top to bottom, left to right:

• Black jumpsuit. Forever 21. I could see this replacing my winter staple of leggings and tunics as we move into spring. 
• Nike Dunk Sky Hi wedge sneakers. I have wanted these for a while. This is one of my top 3.
• Halo Couture hair extensions. I have some clip-ins I wear every now and then, but I think I would get so much more use out of this piece. Another top 3.
• Furla Candy satchel in Camo or Glitter. Top 3.
• Count your blessings tee. Forever 21. A reminder for me (and my kids).
• Be kind to one another. Forever 21. A reminder for my kids.
• American flag short-long tee. Forever 21. Love. 
• Colorblocked jog pants. Forever 21. I do not think I would actually wear these to jog. Just to lounge.
• American flag muscle tank. Forever 21. Love the USA. 

Window Shopping at Forever 21

Window shopping is fun for me...I think I got that term from my grandmother, Wonnie. She used to say "Let's go to town and go window shopping."

I guess you could call this web-window shopping since I didn't set a foot outside. I sometimes (okay, always) dread going to Forever 21 only because it is always crowded with people with a line to checkout that rivals entrance to a Justin Bieber concert. (No, I'm not a fan of his, but I've seen the photos).
