I created something recently to use in our homeschool this year. I've been wanting to teach the kids about more in-depth research, and this is a good starting point for us. Here's my plan. Go to the library and allow the kids to find books on a specific topic. It could be sharks, Italy, the Titanic - you name it. They check out two books and read them. And then they begin to gather information using this mini-report form.
If you would like to use it, you're more than welcome to. I hope it will be helpful. I also included the instructions and grading that I plan to use with my kids. You can use that or not.
