Letters to His children: fearfully and wonderfully made

By the time you’re 20 years old, you will (hopefully) have heard this scripture enough times to know it by heart. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 From the time you were just a tiny speck in my tummy, I have spoken this scripture over you. Before you could understand the words, they were spoken to you, about you, around you and prayed over you.

You see, God created you on purpose and with a purpose; a purpose that only you can fulfill. Out of 250 + million sperm that were released when you were conceived, only one (the one God chose) uniquely joined with the egg to create you.

There is no one else on this earth exactly like you. There are people with similar characteristics, even people with your same first name. And still, no one on this earth was created to do the work that God has for you. He loves you, dear child.

When your heart aches inside you, when you feel a deep longing for something more than this world offers, it is because God made you…exactly as He wanted you to be. And His plans for you are good. And that longing? That longing can only be filled completely by your Creator...the lover of your soul. So when you feel that longing, that emptiness...remember that is is only He who can fill it completely. And remember...that He made you exactly the way He wanted you. 

If He had wanted you to be something or someone else, He would have created you that way. There is nothing wrong with how He made you. 

There are things in this world that will lead you to believe otherwise...as if God's plan isn't right for you or if you missed His purpose somewhere along the way. 

There are things you will see on TV and the Internet that will lead you to believe that something about you isn't flawed, because you aren't exactly like everyone else. 

Dear one, if you were like everyone else your age, this world would be so bland...so vanilla. So, be the very best you - that only you can be. Be bold. Be courageous. Be firm in your beliefs. Be unshakable in your faith. You know your Creator. You know Him personally and intimately. He is not far away. He is not aloof and unreachable. He is not unconcerned with the things that weigh your little heart down. He does want you to focus on the eternal purpose for which you exist, but His heart hurts when yours does...because He made you. And more than anything, in those difficult moments you face, He wants you to run to Him...

Allow Him to fill that longing and emptiness and take away the pain you feel inside. Allow Him to show you more of Him and to help you understand His incredible love for you. 

When you have days that you don't feel so wonderful...remember that HE said you are wonderfully made.
