Simplify

And so it begins. This process. To simplify. To look around and see what we can live without. To see things we haven't used in...well, years. And to say goodbye.

It sounds so dramatic. And yet it's not. It's not dramatic. But I'm a what if kind of person. What if I need that bread maker that I got for free and haven't used once since I got it? What if I want to make bread, NOW?

And look at those shelves. Would you believe that for the most part I DO know what's in there? Yes, I do...but no one else does. And no one but me can find anything. So today, it begins. The process to simplify. To get rid of what we don't use, to use up whatever we have and to breathe...feeling a little lighter without all this stuff.


Do you see it? Right there on the bottom far, far left. The bread machine. Buried under paper towels, so if I did want to bake bread, I would have to dig it out. And that, my friends, would require way too much energy and effort.

Sigh...
