Nope. Just a lesson for you. Watch where you are going, folks. That's all I'm gonna say.
I was out running in daylight (6:45 a.m.)
Out of nowhere this curb jumped right up in front of me and literally grabbed my toe. Literally.
And this is what happens when you go flying down the middle of the street, phone in one hand, ZapStick in the other, and bare arms and legs. Oh, and I'll spare you the leg photo. Road rash knee to hip. Nice.
Chin was last to hit and I promptly jerked my head up so I wouldn't burn it worse.
Perhaps the worst damage is the shoulder. And by far the most painful.
And my dear, sweet, wonderful husband doctored me up the first night after it happened with a gauze bandage and some Neosporin. And the next morning the gauze had adhered itself to my shoulder which is why it looks so goopy above. These photos were taken two days after.
This was such a bad fall that I wasn't even embarrassed. Nope. Didn't care. And I fought the urge to cry for the mile I had left to run.
What's the lesson to be learned? Well, really, I'm not sure. Um, watch out for cracks in the pavement? Check. Learn how to roll like a stunt man? Check. Wear long sleeves...that's it. Wear long sleeves.
Ouch! This looks so painful! I'm sorry. Knowing my record, if I don't be careful this will be me here pretty soon.
