It's about to be spring break

This blog is my creative outlet. It's my place to share fashion, faith, design and fun projects that I've tackled. I work during the day at a school. I am the communications/marketing specialist. I get to do lots of fun and amazing things like writing, design and, um, well communicating. I take lots of pictures, create lots of print pieces, and best of all, I love what I do. I love it!

This blog provides an additional creative space for me to share about other things I love which actually are a nice continuation of my day job...

I love fashion...and that ties in easily with graphic design.

I love writing...and that ties in easily with my communication skills.

I love projects...and basically in my job I move from one project to the next.

So - it's almost spring break. And I am ready. I'm ready to tackle two projects.
Project #1: my closet: clean, purge, store and consign
Project #2: my attic: clean, purge, sell, give away

So I thought it might be fun to share with you in the next couple of days the dreaded before.

As I read fashion blogs and I see all the great things many of my favorite fashion bloggers are wearing, I can't help but wonder what kind of budget they have for clothes. Perhaps they don't have kids, I reason, and therefore they have more disposable income. Or perhaps they've been gifted lots of items from businesses who appreciate getting their name out there. Whatever it is, I began to realize that I have a pretty hefty closet myself. Not because I have so much to spend, but because I hang on to pieces that I love, love, love despite the current trends. I also rarely get rid of shoes because great shoes can always be rehabbed and repaired. You cannot always find an identical replacement for a shoe you love but have worn out. So I just hang on to most of my shoes. All 100+ pairs of them.

So - in the next day or so I plan to give you the full closet shot. I plan to show you my closet. I plan to show you how jam-packed it is, the drawers, the shoes, the baskets. Oh dear. I can't believe I will share so much with you. But I will. Because I like you. I like my one follower!!

And then...I'll show you my process of cleaning out the closet. And then perhaps we'll show the attic process as well, which won't be nearly as fun or exciting. Sigh...
